There is a sequence that all of us are far too familiar with: go on diets to lose weight, feel deprived while we drop some weight, then give in to the constant cravings in one massive spree which leaves us feeling embarrassed and of course, heavier than ever. Often, people will fall into the trap or taking part in a fad diet. Fad diets are general limited crash diets that deliver short term results and long term regression. Well, with a little extra delving, you will discover a few common diets that work quite well.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Counting calories is among the most common and trusted diets that work&lt;/span&gt;. Calories are the energy the body requires in order to function. When you ingest more calories than you burn, the excess calories will be stored as fat. If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;As such, it is critical to cut back on the amount of calories you consume. This is done by keeping an accurate count of the calories you ingest. The key here is to eat the amount of calories that would deliver your targeted weight. For example, based on your age and weight, you may need to eat 1800 calories a day to be 150 lbs. If you are currently eating 2500 calories a day, that is an excess of 700 calories per day. So, to drop down to 150 lbs, you would need to eliminate that excess 700 calories from your daily diet. Stick with 1800 calories for a few weeks, and you will see the weight come off.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;low carbohydrate diet is another successful strategy&lt;/span&gt; and among the most popular of the diets that work. Carbohydrates (carbs for short) have two problems. The first is that they are VERY high in calories. Second, the body uses carbs specifically for energy. So, by cutting carbs you will drop weight from calorie deficiency as well as using more fat cells for fuel due to the absence of carbs. But, if you are cutting carbs out of your diet, what is there left to eat? The other two food groups are fats and proteins and that is where the bulk of your diet will draw from.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Not always the healthiest of approaches.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;The classic diabetic diet (very popular in many forms) is one of the best diets that work&lt;/span&gt;. Through following a point system and eating specially prepared, healthy meals, a dieter can lose weight safely, quickly, and effectively. There are diets that have used this method and have been around a long time for a good reason. The system works!&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Of course, all diets should include a proper exercise program. Proper exercise will burn additional calories and expedite your metabolism. When this is combined with &lt;a href="http://onlinedietsthatwork.com/"&gt;diets that work&lt;/a&gt;, the amount of weight you can lose will be significant. Additionally, the amount of time it takes to lose weight will be expedited as well.
